Our scope ranges from recommending how to use content more effectively to optimizing daily media channel performance and maximizing visibility in eCommerce platforms. 

The Manager, Data Architect is accountable for the end-to-end architecture, technical direction, governance framework, delivery execution, and production readiness of the enterprise data solution. This is a highly hands-on technical leadership role that requires deep expertise in data engineering, analytics, and business intelligence platforms. The successful candidate will actively design, build, troubleshoot, and optimize solutions while providing technical leadership to the broader team.

Accountabilities 

  • Define and implement the target source-to-reporting architecture. 

  • Establish raw, staging, transformation, correction, mapping, and reporting layers. 

  • Lead complex Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Power BI, Logic App and Python development. 

  • Establish dynamic source-file selection and remove hardcoded file dependencies. 

  • Define processed-file history, ingestion timestamps, run controls, and audit requirements. 

  • Establish governance for mapping tables, corrections, exceptions, and business-rule changes. 

  • Lead complex troubleshooting and root-cause analysis. 

  • Define acceptance criteria, technical standards, testing requirements, and operational service levels. 

  • Coordinate decisions across Media Operations, Media Effectiveness, Planning, Broadcast, and supporting teams. 

  • Provide technical oversight, code review, and coaching junior team members. 

  • Own production transition, stakeholder acceptance, and the future automation roadmap. 

Qualifications 

  • 5+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering, BI architecture, or related roles 

  • Advanced SQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Power BI, DAX, Python, Databricks 

  • Experience delivering production data platforms under compressed timelines 

  • Strong data modelling, governance, reconciliation, lineage, and operational-control experience 

  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder-management capabilities

The salary range for this position is $90k-105k. Actual salary within the salary range will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, and skills. A range of medical, dental, RRSP, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available to all permanent employees.
