Job Description

The Director of Sales & Marketing for H2Safety is responsible for driving business growth, revenue generation, and market expansion for H2Safety. This role combines oversight of the sales pipeline with leadership in marketing strategy, campaign execution, and client engagement. The Director will develop and execute initiatives that strengthen client relationships, increase brand visibility, and secure new opportunities, while ensuring alignment with H2Safety’s business objectives.

Business Development & Sales

  • Lead business development efforts across H2Safety’s core and emerging service lines.
  • Oversee full sales cycle management from lead generation and qualification through to negotiation and contract close.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies that drive expansion in existing markets and support entry into new sectors and geographies.
  • Establish and maintain a structured sales cadence, ensuring pipeline discipline, timely follow-up, and measurable conversion metrics.
  • Drive pricing and commercial strategies that balance competitive positioning with margin protection and long-term growth.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and client-centric selling.
  • Represent H2Safety at key industry events and conferences to elevate brand visibility and secure new opportunities.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasting and reporting, delivering clear insights into performance, pipeline health, and growth opportunities.
  • Marketing & Brand Management
  • Develop and implement marketing campaigns across digital, traditional, and social channels to support lead generation and brand awareness.
  • Ensure brand consistency, positioning, and messaging across all platforms and client touchpoints.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to guide strategies and identify opportunities.
  • Measure and analyze marketing campaign performance; adjust tactics to maximize ROI.
  • Coordinate client events, webinars, and outreach initiatives to promote H2Safety’s capabilities.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Manage and develop the Sales & Marketing team, fostering accountability, innovation, and high performance.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to staff.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, technical, and product teams to align business development with service delivery.
  • Encourage a client-centric culture that prioritizes customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.

Strategic & Analytical Contributions

  • Apply data-driven insights to sales strategies, margin expansion, and customer segmentation.
  • Identify emerging opportunities, industry trends, and client needs to inform H2Safety’s business strategy.
  • Support leadership with input into forecasting, pricing strategy, and new service evaluations.

Qualifications

Education, Experience & Credentials

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA an asset.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in sales, business development, or marketing, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in driving revenue growth, securing new business, and managing client relationships.
  • Experience with digital marketing strategies, CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot), and sales pipeline management.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies

  • Strong negotiation, contract management, and closing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to present to executives and industry audiences. Advanced skills in sales pipeline management, pricing strategies, and proposal development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability; able to use data to inform strategy.
  • Excellent leadership and team development skills, with the ability to motivate and coach.
  • Customer-centric mindset with proven success in relationship building.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Travel

  • Willingness to travel (up to 25–30%) to client sites, conferences, and industry events.
