The Director of TPA Solutions is a strategic, externally facing sales professional responsible for developing and expanding a high-quality advisor distribution network for People Corporation’s Third-Party Administrator (TPA) solutions. Operating as a wholesaler within the group insurance market, this role partners with independent insurance advisors to position our TPA solutions as a trusted provider. The Director brings expertise, insight, and professionalism to help advisors deliver differentiated value to their clients through plan design, carrier accountability, and operational efficiency. This role requires a consultative, relationship-driven approach acting as a resource to advisors, an advocate for client outcomes, and a credible voice in the marketplace. Success is measured not only by revenue growth, but by the ability to influence advisor behaviour, elevate the advisor’s business model, and embed our TPA solutions as a core component of their practice.The Director, TPA Solutions will: Drive strategic advisor engagement and revenue growth
  • Develop and execute a territory strategy focused on building long-term partnerships with high-potential independent advisors
  • Position TPA Solutions as a strategic enabler of advisor growth, efficiency, and client outcomes
  • Lead consultative discussions with advisors to uncover business challenges and align solutions accordingly
  • Influence advisor practices by demonstrating the value of carrier-agnostic plan design and governance
  • Maintain a high level of market credibility through deep knowledge of industry trends, carrier dynamics, and competitive positioning
Educate and influence the market
  • Act as a subject matter expert on TPA solutions within the group benefits ecosystem
  • Articulate the value of a TPA model, including carrier neutrality, enhanced transparency, and improved client outcomes
  • Deliver presentations, workshops, and one-on-one sessions to elevate advisor knowledge and capabilities
  • Support advisors in positioning TPA solutions effectively to plan sponsors
  • Contribute to thought leadership initiatives, including content, training, and internal knowledge sharing
Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships
  • Establish yourself as a trusted partner to independent advisors through professionalism, responsiveness, and expertise
  • Develop deep, long-term relationships that extend beyond individual transactions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with underwriting, client services, and leadership to deliver a seamless advisor experience
  • Represent TPA Solutions with a high degree of professionalism in all client-facing interactions
  • Contribute to a culture of excellence by sharing best practices and mentoring peers
Drive performance and accountability
  • Achieve and exceed revenue, growth, and activity targets within assigned territory
  • Build and manage a disciplined sales pipeline with a focus on sustainable, high-quality business
  • Track advisor engagement, conversion, and retention metrics
  • Continuously refine territory strategy based on performance insights and market feedback
  • Prioritize long-term value creation over short-term transactional wins
To be successful as a Director, TPA Solutions with Benefits by Design (BBD), you will need: 
  • Proven success in a B2B sales or wholesaler role, with a strong track record of developing and growing distribution relationships
  • Experience working with independent advisors, brokers, or intermediated sales channels is highly valued
  • Experience in group benefits or the insurance industry is considered an asset, but not required
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a credible, professional advisor in a B2B environment
  • Strong understanding of the group benefits ecosystem, including carriers, advisors, and plan sponsors
  • Proven ability to influence without authority and build trust with external partners
  • Executive-level communication and presentation skills
  • High degree of professionalism, accountability, and business acumen
  • Post-secondary education an asset
  • Level II Insurance License and/or CEBS GBA an asset

The base salary for this position is between $80,000 - $100,000 annually.
 

This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation (i.e. annual bonus, commission). The actual base salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be able to provide additional details of the total compensation for this role.
