Electricians 

What this job involves:

As a key member of our team supporting an industrial client, you will be the go-to expert for all electrical and emergency power systems. This role is crucial for ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of all electrical infrastructure on site. You will not only perform hands-on maintenance and repairs but also act as the primary liaison for electrical contractors, ensuring all work meets rigorous code standards and supports our client's operational goals. This is an opportunity to apply your technical expertise in a dynamic environment where your work directly contributes to business continuity and safety. 

What your day-to-day will look like: 

  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using a variety of hand and power tools. 
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical systems, controls, and components to diagnose malfunctions and minimize downtime. 
  • Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify hazards, ensure code compliance, and proactively address the need for adjustments or repairs. 
  • Plan and execute the layout and installation of new electrical wiring and equipment, following technical drawings and schematics. 
  • Maintain detailed records, prepare reports on system performance, and assist in developing Maintenance Operation Procedures (MOPs). 
  • Monitor and maintain associated building systems, including HVAC, refrigeration, pumps, and motors, to ensure integrated and efficient facility operation. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external electrical contractors, coordinating job walks, meetings, and project execution. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Valid Journeyman Electrician Certificate of Qualification (Red Seal is a strong asset). 
  • Proven experience as an electrician in a commercial or industrial maintenance environment. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting and repairing complex electrical systems, including single and three-phase motors and controls. 
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. 
  • In-depth knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and local safety regulations. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively. 
  • Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members, clients, and external contractors. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience maintaining a variety of mechanical systems, such as HVAC, refrigeration, boilers, and pumps. 
  • Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel, for reporting and record-keeping. 
  • Experience writing Maintenance Operation Procedures (MOPs). 
  • Experience working in a client-facing or facilities management role. 
  • Valid safety certifications (e.g., First Aid, Fall Protection). 

Estimated compensation for this position:

75,100.00 – 93,900.00 CAD per year

This range represents the estimated base salary and actual compensation may differ. Final base salary is determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations. Some roles and employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, benefits, or other compensation.
