This role provides senior project leadership across the full lifecycle, from early scope definition, technical and commercial alignment, engineering definition, procurement strategy, contractor coordination, site readiness, commissioning, and customer handover.  In addition to owning high-complexity project delivery, this role is expected to strengthen delivery governance, proactively manage cross-functional and external dependencies, mentor other Project Managers, and improve the way the PMO executes EPC/TCS programs across the portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Operates with a high degree of autonomy, escalating with clear options, trade-offs, and recommended decisions.
  • Provides leadership across multiple stakeholder groups, including Engineering, Product, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Field Services, Finance, Legal/Commercial, customers, contractors, and consultants.
  • Anticipates portfolio-level risks, resource bottlenecks, and execution gaps before they impact program outcomes.
  • Mentors other Project Managers and helps standardize PMO practices, templates, governance cadence, scheduling discipline, risk management, and executive reporting.
  • Converts lessons learned from EPC/TCS execution into repeatable practices for future customer deployments.

WHO YOU ARE:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of progressive project/program management experience, including senior ownership of complex technical, customer-facing, capital, construction, infrastructure, or EPC-style delivery programs.
  • Project Lifecycle Delivery: Lead complex EPC/TCS programs from feasibility, scope baselining, technical definition, procurement strategy, construction/installation readiness, commissioning, customer acceptance, and handover. Establish execution strategy, governance cadence, integrated schedule, decision log, risk register, and change-control approach.
  • Strategic Program Governance: Own governance for high-visibility programs, including Milestone Reviews, executive updates, customer steering reviews, escalation forums, and data-driven decision packages.
  • EPC / Contractor Leadership: Lead external contractors, EPC/EPCM partners, consultants, and suppliers through structured interface management, decision tracking, deliverable reviews, and issue resolution.
  • Customer and Executive Influence: Act as senior project interface for customers and internal executives, translating technical delivery risks into clear business impacts, mitigation options, and recommended decisions.
  • Risk, Issue, and Escalation Management: Anticipate, quantify, and escalate technical, commercial, schedule, site, quality, safety, and commissioning risks. Drive mitigation ownership across functions and contractors.
  • Proven experience delivering EPC projects involving infrastructure, construction, or facility buildouts
  • Demonstrated involvement across the full project lifecycle, including design, procurement, installation, and commissioning
  • Demonstrated experience leading high-complexity, multi-party projects with significant ambiguity, customer visibility, technical risk, and external contractor/vendor dependencies.
  • Proven ability to lead projects with minimal oversight, including developing execution strategy, surfacing decision points, and recommending trade-offs to senior leaders.
  • Experience managing integrated master schedules, critical path dependencies, customer milestones, commissioning readiness, and cross-functional resource constraints.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor project managers, improve project delivery practices, and establish repeatable governance, reporting, and risk management standards.
  • Experience leading schedule recovery, scope stabilization, or project turnaround efforts in technically complex environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within or alongside EPC / EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management) delivery models
  • Background in infrastructure, laboratory environments, data center systems, or industrial manufacturing scale-up
  • Experience with contractor/vendor management, procurement processes, and change management in capital projects
  • Exposure to customer-facing or externally delivered projects with multiple stakeholders
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement certifications considered an asset

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical disciplines, or a related technical field
  • Equivalent combination of technical education and relevant industry experience may be considered
