Job Description
AECOM has a need for an Estimator in our Calgary, AB or Burnaby, BC office. Come join our team of professionals and help to deliver a better world.
- Works with the Company estimating systems and processes.
- Acquire basic level of understanding of estimating terminology, measures, concepts and principles for preparing estimates.
- Recognizes how various processes/project actions and assumptions may impact estimates.
- Under supervision prepares bid packages, conceptual estimates and analysis of subcontractor bids, etc. for projects.
- Performs duties with limited complexity under direct supervision, such as material take offs, compilation of historical data, etc.
- Expected to assist in the preparation of larger and more complex estimating assignments including the Estimate Plan.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirement:
- BA/BS Construction Management, Engineering, or related curriculum and 6 years of construction estimating experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- 6+ years of Estimating experience on large industrial construction projects
Preferred Requirements:
- Mining and industrial estimating experience is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in Estimating Software such as Ineight/Contruent.
