Enverus is seeking a highly motivated Geology student or recent graduate to join our dynamic team, specializing in geoscience interpretations and product development. This opportunity is ideal for a current student or a recent graduate in Geology, Geosciences, or a related field who is eager to apply their academic knowledge in a professional setting. As part of our team, you will gain hands-on experience in geoscience interpretations and product development, working alongside experienced geologists. You will contribute to real-world projects in the oil and gas sector, supporting geological analysis, well log interpretation, and data visualization while developing key technical and analytical skills.
Performance Objectives
- Conduct stratigraphic analysis to interpret depositional environments, sequence stratigraphy, and reservoir characterization.
- Perform well log interpretation and petrophysical analysis to evaluate lithology, porosity, permeability, and fluid saturation in subsurface reservoirs.
- Develop horizon mapping and structural models to provide accurate subsurface interpretations that influence reservoir management and development strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (intelligence, data science, product development) to integrate geological interpretations into Prism.
- Stay current with emerging geoscience technologies, methodologies, and industry trends to continuously improve the quality and relevance of geological products.
Competitive Candidate Profile
- Basic knowledge of stratigraphy, well log interpretation, petrophysics, and structural geology through coursework or projects.
- Familiarity with geological software (e.g., Enverus Subsurface Studio, Prism, Petrel, or similar) is a plus but not required.
- Understanding of fundamental concepts related to horizontal well geology, shale plays, and unconventional reservoirs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to learn and ask questions in a collaborative environment.
- Effective communication skills to share findings and collaborate with team members.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Geosciences, or a related field.
- Previous internship, research experience, or relevant coursework in geological interpretation and subsurface modeling is a plus but not required
