What's exciting about the role
As a Verifone Global HR Business Partner this role will operate as a trusted advisor to the Chief Technology Officer and the Global Head of Product to build strategic talent plans that enable the business strategy and achieve organizational transformation initiatives. This role will act as a people champion, business accelerator, HR process owner and data-driven change leader, while ensuring compliance with global regulations and employment law and building deep trusted relationships across Verifone.
Major Responsibilities:
- Drive multi-year organizational and talent strategies, lead change management efforts across the product and engineering teams and implement talent programs designed for a culture of high performance and accountability.
- Use deep understanding of the business strategy to identify the skills and capabilities required for the future. Build a plan to hire, develop and retain the talent needed to deliver against the critical business initiatives.
- Execute against talent initiatives, performing a wide range of HR actions leading to expected and timely deliverables.
- Provide advice and guidance to the technology product and engineering teams and leadership on a wide range of HR topics & solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders for business decisions and implementation of HR strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with key partners across the HR Centers of Excellence and Regional HR teams for the delivery of HR processes and programs.
- Support the Talent Acquisition team in the hiring of key talent, including interview screening, job descriptions and profiling, hiring strategy and offer proposals.
- Lead organizational change efforts including strategic improvements to organizational design and execution of resulting change actions.
- Leverage HR analytics to gain insights and proactively identify trends.
- Drive improvement efforts in key metrics such as employee engagement, key talent retention, external hiring and internal mobility of top talent.
- Acts as a subject matter expert on relevant regulations and policies.
- Coach leaders on handling complex, sensitive or escalated people, strategy & business-related issues and facilitate processes to reach effective resolution. Perform employee investigations or assessment as needed.
- Conduct on-going assessment of people processes and initiatives to identify process improvements.
Qualifications
- 7-10 years experience in an HR executive partnership role building high-performing teams, leading change and a variety of HR initiatives and program execution (experience in technology environments preferred)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (in an Human Resources-related field preferred), or equivalent work experience
- Deep understanding of HR processes in large multi-national financial institution is desirable
- Strong business acumen—demonstrated ability to learn business objectives quickly and influence talent and org decisions that impact business outcomes
- Strong ability to influence at senior levels and effect change in a large, diverse, multicultural organization; remove silos, and proactively build relationships with key stakeholders with differing perspectives.
- Strong communication skills at all levels (written and verbal).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to take direct ownership of interpreting data and using data to influence decision making
- Strong experience on transformation / change management in a multi country / cultural environment, including process re-engineering and end-to-end processes simplification.
- Able to manage in an environment of ambiguity, demonstrating self-initiative but capable of understanding when it is necessary to gather more information before action.
- Project Management skills in a multi-tasking environment
- Experience working in a complex environment, across multiple geographies and stakeholders
- Ability to travel 30-40%
