Supporting the Project Management Office, the Growth Capital Portfolio Advisor will help ensure Keyera’s PMO team is successful in enabling effective delivery of projects.
The Growth Capital Portfolio Advisor oversees the performance, health, and ensures strategic alignment of the company’s capital and project portfolio. This role requires a high level of coordination across the organization to ensure projects are delivering value, adhere to standards, and align with corporate strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide input and support the annual and long-term business plan for the growth capital portfolio, while ensuring alignment with corporate values, strategic risks and priorities.
- Collaborating with business units and subject matter experts across the organization to drive timely and accurate growth capital updates while supporting annual/quarterly capital planning and budgeting cycles.
- Develop and deliver portfolio reporting including dashboards, heat maps, scorecards, KPIs, and portfolio health insights.
- Prepare high-quality presentations and communicate key takeaways for various peers and leaders that provide insightful conclusions and recommendations.
- Partner with project managers and functional leaders to help support decision-making, and governance expectations.
- Identify systemic risks and improvement opportunities, streamlining intake, approval, reporting processes, and enhancing PMO frameworks, tools, and digital solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will be energetic, proactive, enjoy working with a broad group of stakeholders and bring strong attention to detail, with the following qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related discipline; PMP or PfMP considered an asset.
- 7–10+ years of experience in project management, governance, or portfolio management (oil & gas or industrial environment preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex project data into actionable insights for leadership.
- Proficient in project/portfolio tools (Power BI, OMEGA, Primavera, MS Project, or equivalent).
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- A clear, confident communicator - able to bridge technical and executive audiences.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Continuous-improvement mindset with attention to detail.
- Integrity-driven, objective, and compliance-focused.
- Adaptable in fast-moving project environments.
