Job Description:

Reporting to the Director, Total Rewards, the Compensation Analyst supports the analysis, modeling, implementation and administration of AltaLink’s compensation programs and processes to ensure programs are competitive, equitable, and aligned with business objectives.

This role is suited for a compensation professional who has a strong foundation in job evaluation, market benchmarking, and compensation program administration, and is looking to deepen their impact in a collaborative, highly analytical environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in compensation surveys and maintain market pricing databases.
  • Support market benchmarking using survey data and external sources to ensure competitive positioning.
  • Prepare compensation related analysis and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and analysis on compensation metrics.
  • Support the annual compensation cycle, including salary review, incentive programs, and market adjustments.
  • Administer annual compensation adjustments and incentive programs.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy within HR systems and compensation tools.
  • Monitors external competitive practices and benchmarks.
  • Support HR Business Partners and leaders by providing data and analysis for compensation decisions, including offers, promotions, and job changes.
  • Assist in development of communication materials related to compensation programs.
  • Support compliance related requirements in compensation policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to enhancements in compensation processes, tools, and documentation.
  • Support implementation of new programs, systems, or policy updates.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • 4 + years of relevant experience in compensation.
  • Progress toward CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) designation is an asset.
  • Proven ability/experience in above noted responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience working with SAP.
  • Ability to interpret and work with large datasets.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong judgment and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Strong team player with the ability to build relationships and connect with people.
  • Able to work with highly confidential information with professionalism.
