Make it happen: We are proactive and results-driven, taking ownership, acting with urgency, and focusing on solutions that deliver real impact.
Earn the customer: We are deeply customer-centric, focused on earning our customers' partnership every day by delivering exceptional experiences that drive their success.
Position Summary:
At Miovision, we believe our people are the core of our tech. As an HR Business Partner, you aren’t just a policy expert - you’re a strategic partner and a cultural catalyst. You will sit at the intersection of business goals and human potential, serving as a trusted advisor to leaders and a champion for our employees. Whether you’re coaching a first-time manager, helping a team navigate a pivot, or designing a roadmap for talent growth, you do it with empathy, clarity, and a deep understanding of what makes a scaling tech company tick.
Key Accountabilities:

  • Strategic Growth & Coaching: Partner with leaders to see around corners, identifying the skills we need for the future and helping our people reach their full potential through thoughtful career pathing and mentorship.
  • Organizational Design & Change: Help teams evolve as we scale. You’ll be the steady hand during reorganizations or integrations, ensuring our structure supports our goals without losing our human touch.
  • Culture & Employee Advocacy: Build a workplace where everyone belongs. You’ll guide managers through sensitive conflict resolution and employee relations with a focus on fairness, transparency, and high emotional intelligence.
  • Performance Momentum: Move beyond the traditional "review" process. You’ll coach managers on how to give real-time, meaningful feedback and help them navigate complex performance situations with both kindness and high standards.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Use people analytics to tell a story. You’ll help us understand the "why" behind our trends and recommend creative, people-first solutions for organizational health.
  • Global Compliance & Support: Act as the subject matter expert on the nuances of Canadian and U.S. employment landscapes, ensuring our global programs are seamless, legal, and easy to navigate.
Qualifications:
  • Progressive HR experience, with a proven track record of supporting diverse teams across global borders.
  • You are a natural relationship builder who gains credibility quickly. You aren't afraid to speak your mind, but you do it with the tact and judgment of a seasoned advisor.
  • You thrive in fast-moving, "gray" environments. You don't wait for a manual; you bring your own structure to the chaos and adapt as you go.
  • You talk like a person, not a handbook. You can distill complex HR concepts into clear, actionable advice for everyone from interns to executives.
  • You approach challenges with curiosity and a bias for action, always looking for the "win-win" in every situation.
  • You genuinely enjoy collaborating and realize that HR is a team sport; you’re ready to roll up your sleeves to help a colleague and celebrate collective wins.
Your Rewards & Well-being:
We invest in our team with benefits designed for modern life and true work-life balance.
  • Comprehensive Coverage: Your well-being is covered from day one with comprehensive health benefits, 24/7 virtual healthcare access, and dedicated wellness programs.
  • Financial Future: Build for tomorrow with our RRSP Matching Plan and share in the company's success through our Variable Incentive Plan.
  • Time to Recharge: Truly unplug with our unique Mio-Days and flexible vacation policy.
  • Work & Life Support: We support you with flexible work options, an internet subsidy, a remote work allowance, and enhanced leave for new parents.

Fortunately, Calgary stands out as a hub for both, recognized as one of Startup Genome's Top 100 Emerging Ecosystems, while also playing host to a number of multinational enterprises. In Calgary, job seekers can find a wide range of opportunities.
