Lead the migration of IBM WebSphere Business Integration to IBM App Connect Enterprise, managing architecture design, implementation, and testing across environments.
Role Summary
IBM is seeking an experienced Application Architect to lead the end-to-end migration of IBM WebSphere Business Integration (WBI) to IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE). This role is critical to ensuring a secure, scalable, and resilient integration architecture within clustered Windows environments across UAT, Production, and DR landscapes.
The architect will be responsible for technical leadership across migration strategy, architecture design, implementation oversight, and testing coordination, working closely with IBM teams and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end migration from WBI to App Connect Enterprise (ACE), including discovery and assessment of:
- Message flows
- MQ objects
- Broker configurations
- System dependencies
- Design the target ACE architecture, ensuring high availability and scalability in clustered Windows environments.
- Define and execute migration strategies, including:
- Parallel run approaches
- Rollback and risk mitigation plans
- Guide the provisioning, clustering, and environment setup across UAT, Production, and Disaster Recovery.
- Oversee system hardening, performance tuning, and security/certificate management.
- Migrate and remediate WBI artifacts to ACE, ensuring alignment with:
- MQ configurations
- Partner and downstream endpoints
- Lead and support SIT, UAT, and DR testing, including coordination with vendors and stakeholders.
- Provide architectural governance, technical guidance, and best-practice recommendations throughout the engagement.
