Implementation Engineer

At Vendasta, we’re leading the AI revolution from right here in Saskatoon—and beyond. We work together to empower our partners and customers through our AI-powered customer acquisition and engagement platform to help them get more customers—and keep them.

We’re looking for an Implementation Engineer who is energized by solving complex integration challenges and excited to deliver scalable, technically sound solutions to our enterprise partners. In this role, you’ll play a key part in helping small and medium-sized businesses succeed—while shaping the future of AI for local economies.

Your Impact:

As an Implementation Engineer, you'll work with our Chief Revenue Officer, as well as cross-functional teams across Engineering, Product, Sales Engineering, and Professional Services to:

  • Serve as the technical lead for remote and on-site deployments of the Vendasta platform, translating customer use cases into practical platform implementations and integrations.
  • Partner with customer engineering teams to align on architecture and ensure successful technical outcomes through hands-on enablement.
  • Maintain and develop technical documentation including deployment playbooks, integration guides, and reusable implementation resources.
  • Apply deep architectural thinking to build scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions for enterprise deployments.
  • Identify and address technical friction, influence product roadmaps through structured feedback, and raise engineering quality through field-driven insights.
  • Lead cross-team collaboration to drive alignment between internal teams and customer goals, especially in technically ambiguous situations.
  • Integrate and champion the use of AI tools in development workflows and customer-facing deployments, supporting faster time-to-value and developer productivity.

What You Bring to the Table:

You bring a minimum of 5 years of experience in Revenue Operations, Software Development, or an implementation role—ideally in a SaaS or technology-focused environment. You’ve worked directly with customers on high-impact technical projects and thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous technical environments. You possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field is preferred but not required—equivalent work experience is welcome.
  • Strong foundation in full-stack development, including backend, frontend, cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS), and databases
  • Proficiency with modern AI tools for software delivery and documentation, such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, and Tabnine
  • Proven ability to influence without authority and collaborate across internal functions
  • Skilled in translating technical complexity into clear, customer-aligned solutions
  • Experience navigating large organizations to deliver cross-functional outcomes
  • Track record of delivering customer-centric solutions that align with business goals
  • Enthusiastic about automation and AI adoption, identifying opportunities that enhance integration speed and customer value

Employees can spend up to one-third of their life at work, so choosing the right company is crucial, not just for the job itself but for the company culture as well. While startups often offer dynamic culture and growth opportunities, large corporations provide benefits like career development and networking, especially appealing to recent graduates. Fortunately, Calgary stands out as a hub for both, recognized as one of Startup Genome's Top 100 Emerging Ecosystems, while also playing host to a number of multinational enterprises. In Calgary, job seekers can find a wide range of opportunities.
