🤙🏼 About gaiia

At gaiia, we're building the leading platform for Communications Service Providers (CSPs) that truly care about their customers. Our core product is an operating system (OS) for telcos that manages billing, operations, automation and everything in between.

We're passionate about taking care of our people, and it's not just lip service. We want you to focus on your job while we care for everything else. We offer competitive pay and benefits, attractive stock options, unparalleled transparency, and a 100% remote environment. We're excited to have you join us for your next career adventure!

🎭 Role & Team

We’re looking to hire a Full-Stack Software Developer with excellent technical skills and communication abilities to join our AI Platform squad.

You will join a small, high-impact team dedicated to building the AI layer of the gaiia platform. You'll be expected to bring strong opinions about how AI systems should be built. We want someone who challenges our thinking, proposes better approaches, and stays ahead of a fast-moving space.

Your work will span two areas:

  1. AI Agent Builder (primary focus) — A customer-facing module that lets Communication Service Providers design, deploy, and manage AI agents through a low-code interface built on top of our Workflow Engine. Think of it as the next evolution of our automation platform: from low-code workflows to AI-first operations.
  2. Internal AI Platform Tooling — Reusable components and abstractions that standardize how AI features (chat assistants, LLM integrations, prompt management) are built across all gaiia squads.

📽 What is your team working on?

Technically speaking, you will work in a serverless ecosystem of microservices deployed on a cloud infrastructure. gaiia is all-in on Typescript, with frontend, backend and infrastructure-as-code all leveraging Typescript.

More pragmatically, as part of the AI Platform squad, you will have the chance to:

  • Design and build the AI Agent Builder, a low-code tool for creating, testing, and deploying AI agents — with great attention to performance, observability, user experience and security.
  • Integrate LLM inference and agentic capabilities into gaiia's existing Workflow Engine (LLM nodes, tool-use, MCP servers).
  • Build reusable AI components (chat interfaces, prompt management, evaluation tooling) used by other squads across the platform.
  • Evaluate and integrate new model capabilities, tool-use patterns, and orchestration frameworks as the space evolves.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions around prompt design, evaluation, guardrails, and observability for production AI systems.
  • Design, develop and deploy GraphQL APIs for both internal and external use.
  • Develop, in collaboration with talented designers, intuitive interfaces for non-technical users to build and manage their own AI agents.

🎖️ Qualifications
  • You have hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI Agents design. You've integrated models into products, built agentic workflows, or shipped AI-powered features.
  • Proven experience building with Coding Agents (Claude Code, Codex, etc.).
  • You actively explore AI tools, frameworks, and patterns on your own — whether that's building side projects, contributing to open-source AI tooling, or experimenting with new models and techniques.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in Typescript.
  • Experience in DevOps and cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience with the React library.
  • Experience with Node.js.
  • You have a natural drive to turn ambitious ideas into reality.
  • You are known as a team player with impeccable work ethic.

🪄 Nice-to-haves
  • You have experience with GraphQL.
  • You have designed serverless systems before.
  • You have an interest or expertise in functional programming.
  • You care for long-term, sustainable architectural decisions.
  • You have strong algorithmic and problem-solving skills.

💰 Salary

At gaiia, we have a transparent salary philosophy and a robust evaluation and compensation framework. It translates to a fair and impartial model where salaries are published internally, healthy discussions around compensation and performance can exist, and taboos are removed.

The salary range for this role is $120,000-$170,000.

🔆 Benefits
  • Flexible 25 days vacation
  • Group Insurance
  • Telemedicine
  • Health & Life Spending Accounts
  • RRSP & DPSP
  • Flexible working hours & all-remote work
  • Employee Stock Option Plan (ESOP)

We are an equal-opportunity employer committed to inclusivity and diversity. Our workplace is fully remote and boasts accessible technologies, ensuring all team members can thrive.
