OVERVIEW:
We are seeking an experienced Key Account Manager – Healthcare with deep expertise in the Canadian healthcare system to manage, support, and grow strategic healthcare accounts across Western Canada. This is a remote, field-based role requiring regular travel to customer sites.
The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in acute care, long-term care (LTC), and retirement environments, along with strong technical knowledge of infection prevention, cleaning, and disinfection practices, and the Canadian healthcare distribution landscape.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Manage and grow key healthcare accounts across Western Canada, including acute care hospitals, long-term care, and retirement communities
- Act as a trusted advisor by providing expertise in:
- Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC)
- Disinfection and cleaning practices
- Laundry operations
- General housekeeping
- Ware washing and foodservice sanitation
- Build strong, long-term relationships with healthcare stakeholders at multiple levels
- Identify and execute opportunities to expand solutions within existing accounts while ensuring regulatory compliance
- Deliver formal presentations, training sessions, and strategic reviews to customers and internal teams
- Support product implementation, training, and ongoing customer success
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute account strategies
- Maintain accurate account records, forecasts, and activity tracking using CRM systems
- Travel regularly within Western Canada to support customer and account needs
- Stay current on Canadian healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and industry trends
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- College diploma or university degree is strongly preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience working within the Canadian healthcare system
- Proven experience across Acute care, Long-term care (LTC), Retirement / seniors’ living environments
- Strong working knowledge of Disinfection and practices, Infection prevention and control, as well as laundry, housekeeping and ware washing operations
- Knowledge of Canadian distribution channels and supply chain within healthcare
- Good working knowledge of CRM platforms, as well as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Solid presentation skills, with experience delivering to diverse stakeholders
- Strong understanding of Canadian healthcare standards, regulations, and best practices
- Permanent resident of Western Canada
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly, Valid driver’s license
- Strong account management, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
- Highly organized with strong time-management and prioritization skills
- Customer-focused, collaborative, and solutions-oriented mindset
