Role Overview:
Drive the quality strategy behind a data platform that powers millions of customer experience decisions every day. In this role, you will own how quality is engineered across batch analytics systems that process high-volume, distributed data at scale. You will influence how teams design, validate, and ship features that directly impact customer insights and business outcomes. At Genesys, we are transforming customer experience through AI-driven innovation and cloud-scale platforms, and you will play a key role in ensuring reliability, performance, and trust in those systems. This position offers visibility across multiple global teams, exposure to modern cloud and data technologies, and the opportunity to shape quality practices that scale with the platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the end-to-end quality strategy for batch analytics features, ensuring scalable, reliable validation across data pipelines and APIs

• Drive alignment across Product, Engineering, and UX to embed quality into design decisions and delivery workflows

• Design and implement automated test frameworks that improve system reliability, reduce defects, and increase deployment confidence

• Evaluate architecture and technical designs to identify risks and influence testability, scalability, and performance outcomes

• Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies that cover functional, performance, security, and accessibility dimensions

• Lead exploratory testing initiatives and user-focused validation to improve real-world customer experience and usability

• Optimize CI/CD pipelines by maintaining and enhancing automated test suites within Jenkins and TestNG frameworks

• Mentor junior engineers and elevate team-wide quality practices through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical guidance

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in software testing within cloud-based or distributed systems environments

• Strong proficiency in Java or Python, with experience contributing to test automation frameworks

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or equivalent platforms

• Proven experience testing REST APIs, including both functional and automated approaches

• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and end-to-end system validation in multi-tenant applications

• Experience working with large-scale data systems or high-volume event-driven platforms

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks and design effective validation strategies

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and influence engineering practices

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, and Lambda

• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Presto

• Experience testing data pipelines and batch processing systems

• Knowledge of orchestration tools such as Airflow

• Background in performance, scalability, or security testing

• Experience contributing to shared testing frameworks used across multiple teams

Compensation:

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.
