In this customer‑facing role, you will be the primary connection between our clients and the full breadth of Finning and Caterpillar equipment, products and services. You will build strong relationships with assigned customer accounts, uncover business needs, and create tailored plans that drive growth across equipment, parts and service sales. By developing and executing customer‑specific sales and marketing strategies, you will play a key part in helping our clients succeed and ensuring they receive the right solutions at the right time. Major Job Functions:
Develop and maintain effective client relationships to support the marketing and sales of equipment products and services
Timely and effective quality research, communication and response to customer and Caterpillar issues
Provide consultive advice to customers on products and services that will enhance their business
Produce accurate and timely quotations on customer requirements and negotiate with them to win their business
Prepare accurate and timely equipment product and service forecasts, pricing, estimates and market intelligence, call reports and customer information
Accountability:
Achieve targets for revenue growth and profitability
Maintain sound long-term relationships with customers, Caterpillar, internal departments and staff
Understand the customers' economic models and proactively develop timely deal strategies
Develop and maintain accurate and current client information data utilizing Finning’s CRM software
Represent the company in an ethical and professional manner
Education & Experience
Post-secondary education in a related field such as Business, Commerce, Marketing or a similar discipline
Approximately 2 to 5 years of sales and product support experience
Must have strong drilling knowledge
Sound knowledge of industry products and services across sectors such as Agriculture, Forestry, Marine, Mining, Power Systems and Heavy Construction
Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships
Accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work
Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle competing priorities
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively as a team player
Current understanding of customer needs, market conditions and Caterpillar product offerings
Thorough knowledge of Finning internal processes, including support systems, credit and financing, with strong business acumen
Commitment to safety with a solid understanding of and adherence to all safety procedures
