About AppDirect

Become a digital, global citizen and enable the new generation of digital entrepreneurs around the world. AppDirect offers a subscription commerce platform to sell any product, through any channel, on any device - as a service. We power millions of subscriptions worldwide for organizations. We do this by our values-driven culture—one that enables you to Be Seen, Be Yourself, and Do Your Best Work.

About You

You are an experienced Manager, accounting professional who thrives in a fast-moving environment where accuracy and ownership go hand in hand. You bring at least five years of progressive accounting experience and know your way around the full close cycle — from ledger entries to financial statements. You've led a team before and understand what it takes to develop people while keeping the numbers tight. You're comfortable working across ERP systems like NetSuite and can hold your own in conversations with auditors, investors, and leadership alike. Your attention to detail means reconciliations don't slip through the cracks, and your clear communication style — written and verbal — helps your team and cross-functional partners stay aligned on what matters most.

What you'll do and how you'll have an impact

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery across all reporting cycles
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, supporting investor reporting as needed
  • Own the general ledger — maintaining the system, reviewing journal entries, and ensuring reconciliations are complete and correct
  • Develop and enforce internal financial controls and procedures that keep AppDirect audit-ready year-round
  • Partner with the external audit team annually, coordinating documentation and responses across the finance function
  • Manage and grow a team of at least two direct reports, providing coaching, feedback, and clear direction on priorities
  • Support acquisition-related financial integrations as they arise, working cross-functionally to ensure a smooth transition
  • Support multinational foreign entities and assist with financial consolidation processes.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including exposure to full-cycle close and financial reporting
  • 2+ years managing direct reports in an accounting or finance function
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA designation preferred
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and acquisitions is considered an asset.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite or a comparable enterprise ERP system
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills — you'll regularly present financial information to leadership and work across departments, so clarity matters
