About Flipp

Flipp partners with the largest North American retailers and brands to deliver local promotions and savings to millions of engaged shoppers daily, driving superior returns on investments.

We help people make smarter shopping decisions with autonomy and accountability. With rising living costs, Flipp's mission is crucial. Our Shopper Consideration Platform allows retailers and manufacturers to create digital experiences from their savings & deals content, aiding shoppers in deciding what to buy and where to buy it. Together, we make a difference.

In 2024, Flipp joined forces with the European company Shopfully, creating a global leader in the sector. Together, we reach 400 million households and serve over 1,000 top retailers and brands across 27 markets, including Europe, Canada, the USA, Latin America, and Australia.

Our five principles, Progress Over Perfection, Clarity Through Transparency, Learn Loudly, Challenge with Empathy, and Always Build Better, bring a relentless progress mindset to life. They’re not just slogans, but they’re the behaviours we expect, reward, and hold ourselves accountable to. You'll be equipped to make an impact, realize your potential, and stay inspired every step of the way.

Our Business Development team finds and builds the partnerships that open up Flipp's next lines of growth — new retailers, new verticals, and new products.

As Manager, Business Development, you'll lead a team of Business Development Leads and Representatives with the goal of increasing the breadth of partners invested with Flipp while positioning Flipp as a thought leader with senior leadership of the largest retailers and agencies in North America. You'll own your team's revenue and partnership targets and be in the trenches with them, in the room for key pitches, coaching in real time, and positioning Flipp as a trusted thought leader with senior leaders at North America's largest retailers and agencies.

What you'll get the opportunity to do:
  • Lead, coach and grow a team of Business Development Leads and Representatives — run weekly 1:1s, pressure-test the pipeline, manage performance, and support each person's career and growth plan
  • Lead and support external meetings with Director- and VP-level leaders at North America's largest retailers, owning meeting prep and making sure next steps land with the right internal teams
  • Coach in the field, giving real-time feedback on live deals that helps your team close more net-new partnerships
  • Turn business goals into a clear plan: identify focus areas and new vertical opportunities, track progress against targets, and build action plans to correct course when needed
  • Own business reporting for your team — present pipeline, wins, challenges and opportunities to the Director and Chief Business Officer — and continuously improve how the team works by refining processes and evaluating new sales tools
What you'll bring to the team:
  • 5+ years of experience managing a sales or business development team, ideally in tech or retail
  • A track record of opening and closing new enterprise partnerships, and confidence presenting to VP-level stakeholders
  • A coaching mindset — you develop people through direct, real-time feedback and hold your team accountable to clear goals
  • Strong command of the sales cycle and pipeline management, with a data-driven approach to performance metrics and forecasting
  • A strategic eye for new market and upsell opportunities, and the ability to turn them into plans your team can execute
  • Strong cross-functional skills — you align closely with marketing, product and internal partners to win together
  • Comfort leading a team through change in a fast-moving environment
