This role involves overseeing all aspects of asset performance monitoring, implementing enhancements, managing our data system, executing the renewable energy data analytics strategy, and overseeing asset reporting.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage a team, comprised of engineers and analysts, responsible for the areas of Performance, Data, and Reporting within the Power business unit.

  • Lead the team in the area of Performance, responsible for all matters related to monitoring of equipment performance / efficiency, and to evaluation and execution of equipment upgrades.

  • In the area of Data, responsible for setting strategic direction and program execution and governance of the data analytics ecosystem (PI-centric)that supports real time financial, operating and technical decision making for solar, wind and future battery storage systems.

  • In the area of Reporting, manage all asset data reporting activities for the business unit, ensuring accurate and timely reports for key business partners such as the Asset Management, Finance, and Operations senior leadership teams.

  • Responsible for development of team budgets, initiatives, long range planning and risk management, ensuring performance liabilities are managed and mitigated.

  • Lead all aspects of team engagement with external parties (e.g. original equipment manufacturers, service providers, other owner-operators, consultants) to keep abreast of leading industry trends that Power Operations could employ to contribute to business unit.

 

Who You Are:

  • You possess a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 8+ years of wind industry or related experience. Equal mix of education and experience will be considered.

  • Prior management experience with a proven track record in mentoring and guiding junior engineers.

  • Strong skills in data management, analysis, statistics, and programming.

  • Knowledge of AVEVA PI system development, management, and governance.

  • Demonstrated outstanding problem solving, decision making, communication and interpersonal skills. Highly motivated and able to work and produce results independently with minimal guidance.

  • Strong project management, planning, and interpersonal skills

 

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment with up to 25% travel to field locations and industry conferences.

  • Travel will be required for training and other company business.

  • Environment is fast paced, and work based with competing timelines to support aggressive operating reliability and cost goals.
