Coordinate pre-participation training/certifications and create promotional content while supervising game-day roles such as scorekeeping, timekeeping, announcing, video, and mascot management.

Athletics & Recreation are recruiting for casual hourly Minor Official Leads to manage designated projects within Athletics and Recreation. The focus for this position will be to provide leadership for SAIT Trojans athletic events. Minor Officials Leads will be responsible for event engagement, enhancement, and promotion.

What you bring
- Completion of Grade 12 or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Participation in sports
- Previous customer service experience
- First Aid and CPR certification (asset)
- Respect in Sport certification (asset)
- Ability to travel within Calgary
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
- Current students or alumni of SAIT’s ICT programs (Digital Media, Communications, or Production)
- Previous event experience
- Knowledge of sport rules, officiating, or scorekeeping
- Experience in conflict resolution
- Current SAIT students preferred
- Experience in roles such as camera operator, broadcaster/commentator, video production (pre-roll), scorekeeper, sport statistician, goal judge, or content creator
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Effective at managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on customer service
- Team-oriented and collaborative
- Reliable and punctual
