What are we looking for?
BetterSleep is looking for a talented composer with a specialty in musical composition. In this role, you'll be involved in instrumental and musical composition as well as lyric writing. The ideal candidate will also perform and record the instrumental part of the music.
We're seeking someone with expertise in piano arrangement as well as deep knowledge of musicals and the process of working with a script writer in the creation of a musical.
Responsibilities
- Instrumental composition and arrangement for a musical.
- Vocal composition and lyric writing.
- Develop lyrics that are aligned with the story and voice of the script.
- Performance on piano (and guitar as an asset).
- High quality recording of the instrumental portion of the music (delivery of audio in .wav file at 24bit/48kHz)..
- Collaborate with the script writer and the content team.
- Edit and revise music and recording based on feedback.
Requirements
- Experience in composition and arrangement of music for musicals.
- Expertise in piano performance.
- Expertise in instrumental or virtual instrumental recording.
- Familiarity with a DAW.
- Ability to collaborate with everyone involved in book writing.
- Flexibility, creativity, and a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Starting at $400 USD per track, based on experience, expertise, and the scope of the project.
