We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer with a minimum 3 years of experience to support, design, and enhance enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Multicast, Cisco ACI, F5 LTM/APM, Fortigate firewalls, and network automation. This role requires a proactive problem-solver with strong troubleshooting skills and experience in large-scale, mission-critical networks.

Reports to: Senior Manager, Network Engineering

Key Accountabilities:

Network Design & Implementation:

  • Architect, configure, and manage Multicast networks, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.

  • Deploy and optimize Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure), including EPGs, Contracts, L3Out, and VMM integration.

  • Implement and manage F5 LTM (Local Traffic Manager) & APM (Access Policy Manager) for load balancing and application security.

  • Configure and maintain Fortigate firewalls, including policy management, SSL/IPSec VPNs, SD-WAN, and security monitoring.

  • Develop and enforce network security policies, segmentation, and Zero Trust principles.

Automation & Optimization:

  • Implement network automation using Python, Ansible, Terraform, or other scripting tools to improve efficiency.

  • Develop scripts and playbooks for device configuration, monitoring, and compliance enforcement.

  • Optimize network performance by leveraging automation for troubleshooting and remediation.

Operations & Troubleshooting:

  • Monitor and maintain network health, proactively addressing performance and security issues.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot complex network incidents involving Multicast, ACI, F5, and Fortigate.

  • Collaborate with security, DevOps, and application teams to ensure seamless network operations.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for network security and availability.

Project Management & Documentation:

  • Assist network upgrade and migration projects, ensuring minimal downtime and impact.

  • Maintain detailed technical documentation, including network diagrams, automation scripts, and SOPs.

Must haves:

  • Multicast Networking: Experience with PIM-SM, IGMP, MSDP, and troubleshooting multicast routing issues.

  • Cisco ACI: Hands-on experience with APIC, Fabric Policies, Contracts, VRF, L3Out, and automation.

  • F5 Load Balancers: Expertise in F5 LTM (VIPs, pools, iRules, SSL offloading) and APM (remote access, authentication).

  • Fortigate Firewalls: Strong experience with FortiOS, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, NGFW policies, and SD-WAN.

  • Network Automation: Proficiency in Python, Ansible, Terraform, REST APIs, JSON/YAML, and network automation frameworks.

  • Routing & Switching: Deep knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, VXLAN, QoS, and VRFs.

  • Network Security: Familiarity with Zero Trust, NAC, IPS/IDS, DDoS protection, and SIEM integration.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in high-pressure environments.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to document solutions and provide technical knowledge transfer.

  • Candidate must be available to provide on-call support and work on the weekends as required

Note: Hybrid role 2 days in the Toronto Downtown office
