Meet Benevity

Benevity is the way the world does good, providing companies (and their employees) with technology to take social action on the issues they care about. Through giving, volunteering, grantmaking, employee resource groups and micro-actions, we help most of the Fortune 100 brands build better cultures and use their power for good. We’re also one of the first B Corporations in Canada, meaning we’re as committed to purpose as we are to profits. We have people working all over the world, including Canada, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States and more!

As a seasoned product marketer and leader, you possess a knack for being able to identify business and market needs, conduct research and build strategic plans, craft compelling messaging and positioning, work directly with clients, and collaborate with teams across the business to bring game-changing products to the market. You see the big picture while managing seamless execution for your portfolio.

What you’ll do:
Team Leadership & Coaching

  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team of Product Marketers, providing regular coaching on core competencies such as messaging, GTM execution, and cross-functional influence.

  • Establish a culture of professional growth by creating tailored development plans that align individual career goals with company objectives.

  • Conduct regular 1:1s and performance reviews, offering actionable feedback to help team members navigate complex projects and evolve their strategic thinking.

  • Define and prioritize the team’s roadmap, ensuring resources are allocated effectively across product launches, sales enablement, and demand generation efforts.

  • Standardize PMM workflows by implementing scalable processes for launch tiering, messaging frameworks, and competitive intelligence to ensure consistent quality across the team.

  • Act as a strategic influencer, navigating internal stakeholder dynamics and clearing hurdles to ensure the team can execute on-time and with high impact.

  • Serve as the primary advocate for the PMM function at the leadership level, communicating team impact, resource needs, and strategic wins to the executive team.

  • Act as liaison between Product, Sales, and Marketing by aligning team output with the broader growth strategy and ensuring a unified narrative in the market.

Strategic Execution (The "Player" Role)

  • Own the end-to-end messaging and GTM strategy for the Benevity Enterprise Impact Platform, while guiding the team in translating this strategy into actionable plans for their respective areas.

  • Direct the team’s research into market trends and persona development, ensuring these insights are consistently applied to sales playbooks and GTM planning across the portfolio.

  • Partner with cross-functional leadership (Product, Sales, CS) to align on high-level positioning, while mentoring the team on how to execute these partnerships at the project level.

  • Provide “Voice of Customer” insights to product management to inform product strategy, drawing from both individual research and team-wide feedback loops.

  • Ensure product messages proliferate throughout the buyer and client journey by collaborating with website, content, and demand generation teams.

What you’ll bring
  • 8+ years of product marketing experience, with at least 4+ years of direct people management or team leadership experience, ideally in B2B SaaS.

  • A "player-coach" mindset: The ability to shift seamlessly between high-level strategic planning and hands-on execution.

  • Proven ability to lead through complexity, framing up strategic issues and identifying key assumptions required to gather and analyze information resulting in a GTM strategy.

  • Track record of building and scaling high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at the executive level and mentor junior team members.

  • An analytical mind that balances a data-driven and an emotional approach to marketing.

  • Outstanding presentation and business writing skills.

Bonus Points
  • Previous experience working with CSR, social impact, or nonprofits.

What you need to know about the Calgary Tech Scene

Employees can spend up to one-third of their life at work, so choosing the right company is crucial, not just for the job itself but for the company culture as well. While startups often offer dynamic culture and growth opportunities, large corporations provide benefits like career development and networking, especially appealing to recent graduates. Fortunately, Calgary stands out as a hub for both, recognized as one of Startup Genome's Top 100 Emerging Ecosystems, while also playing host to a number of multinational enterprises. In Calgary, job seekers can find a wide range of opportunities.
