SUMMARY

The Project Coordinator shall be responsible for the coordination and tracking of correspondence, material, equipment, subcontracts, progress, and extra work.

JOB DUTIES

  • Oversee material takeoffs

  • Review the final contract and services agreed upon to ensure expectations of final product and timing are included in the estimate

  • Contribute to job kick-off meetings with the subcontractor before they mobilize, to clarify all site-specific safety and permitting procedures

  • Work with project staff and maintain the construction schedule

  • Ensure compliance with overall client requirements and specifications

  • Maintain progress quantity, and reporting systems

  • Issue Requests for Information (RFI's) as required

  • Offer technical solutions for procurement, engineering, and construction issues

  • Manage field engineers to fulfill their roles and responsibilities, reviewing work for completeness and accuracy

  • Interface with project controls and quality to assist in their project functions

  • Various other duties as requested by management

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) or Construction Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.)

  • 1 – 3 years of experience in a similar role would be considered an asset (applicable education may be considered in place of experience)

SKILLS

  • Ability to read blueprints/isometric drawings and details to understand scope of work

  • Strong organization skills and detail orientated

  • Skilled in utilizing MS Office programs, specifically Excel, word, and outlook

  • Able to often work under pressure and stress

  • Strong communication skills

  • Self-motivated and assertive
