Blackline Safety is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. The position is full-time and is based at our company’s headquarter in Calgary, AB. We are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic, curious, and confident professional to oversee the product development projects.

Who you are:

  • You are a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for project management. ·
  • You enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and take pride in successfully delivering projects on time, within scope, and on budget.

What You'll be Doing:

  • Manage the end-to-end development lifecycle of wireless electronics projects, encompassing mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software development, as well as supply chain, quality testing, manufacturing, and market launch.
  • Lead project planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, and closing activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Create comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation, to effectively manage project timelines and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, customer care, various product development teams, and operations, to facilitate seamless project delivery and achieve project objectives.
  • Identify, track, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, employing project metrics and risk management principles to mitigate potential schedule impacts.
  • Communicate effectively with software and hardware engineers, team leaders, product managers, marketing directors, and management, ensuring project objectives, requirements, and timelines are clearly understood by all stakeholders.
  • Lead productive team meetings, adept at driving a wide variety of efforts towards resolution and closure, and proficient in identifying and resolving conflicts within project teams.
  • Collaborate with the team to continuously improve project management processes and methodologies, leveraging best practices and lessons learned.
  • Manage project documentation and ensure its accuracy and completeness, keeping it up to date throughout the project lifecycle.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Completed related training in project management, PMP certification preferred
  • Strong Experience with JIRA or other project management tools
  • Proficient understanding of Agile methodologies, specifically focusing on Scrum, including experience in sprint planning and execution
  • A proven track record of completing projects on time and on budget with a high degree of internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrated ability to create and manage project plans, risks, actions items, and resource allocation effectively.
  • Strong understand of project management responsibilities, including planning and scheduling, resource allocation, reporting, supply chain management
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring timely delivery
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate cross-functional teams and communicate project status to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills with granular attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of cellular networks, GPS, and Satellite Communication Systems
  • Experience in Electronics Industry; Knowledge of electronics design and manufacturing processes is a plus.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5+ years Proven experience as a Project Manager, PMP certification preferred
