Job Summary

The Microsoft Digital Innovation Group (MDIG) is centered on pre-sales consultative guidance, emphasizing added value, a customer first approach, and discovery of service and sales opportunities across the modern Microsoft technology stack.
The Microsoft Solutions Consultant (MSC) supports pre-sales activities for the Microsoft Digital Innovation Group, focusing on modern work, collaboration, and AI solutions. This role focuses on pre-sales activities, including Microsoft partner engagements and service offerings.
The Microsoft Solutions Consultant will report to the Director of Microsoft Digital Innovation. Microsoft Solutions Consultant is expected to spend time interfacing and building relationships with existing and potential SHI customers, the SHI Microsoft sales team and other internal support organizations. They will assist in the adoption, education, advisory services, and effective use of Microsoft solutions. The Microsoft Solutions Consultant must be a continuous learner and curious about current and future Microsoft AI technologies.

Role Description

  • Build and maintain relationship with Microsoft Customer Technical Specialists

  • Identify gaps in the market and spot opportunities to drive customer SHI value

  • Lead internal training sessions on Microsoft technology from engineering and sales perspectives

  • Engage with Microsoft support resources to ensure efficient and accurate communication with customers

  • Consult on Microsoft products, implementation, and adoption strategies

  • Recommend third party solutions when best for customer

  • Develop demos for popular Microsoft use cases to drive professional services engagements, licensing upsells, and customer adoption

  • Deliver Microsoft Partner-led pre-sales engagements around Copilot, AI, and modern workplace

  • Achieve technical and administrative Microsoft certifications as needed

  • Documentation and updates of opportunities within corresponding SHI internal tools

Skill Level Requirements

  • Ability to self-study and independently improve job-related knowledge and skills

  • Highly motivated and organized with a strong interest in AI technologies

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize accordingly

  • Excellent communication, collaborative, and presentation skills

  • Strong problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Highly focused on customer solutions and satisfaction

  • Strong consultative sales skills

  • Ability to facilitate technical discussions and break down complex solutions

  • Experience with modern AI including prompt engineering, best practices, and security risks/considerations

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with CJIS, HIPAA, NIST, and other relevant industry standards, compliance, and initiatives

  • Experience working with or for Public Sector entities

  • History of delivering MCI Partner-led engagements

  • Proficiency in Azure AI solutions

  • Expertise around M365 productivity and collaboration tools, with a focus on AI capabilities

Certifications:

Certification Required within 180 days of hire:

  • Associate Level+ Microsoft Certification, OR

  • Industry-recognized certification in AI, LLM, or Machine Learning

Ongoing Certification Requirements:

  • Acquire accreditations and meet other training requirements throughout the lifetime of the role

Other Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 10%

The estimated annual pay range for this position is $ 100,000- $175,000 which includes a base plus bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
