This Position reports to:

Sales Manager
 

As a Sales Specialist in Electrification, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and implementing strategic account management initiatives. Your primary focus will be on maximizing share of wallet growth, enhancing profitability, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.

In this position, you will coordinate sales activities, monitor ongoing projects, and effectively address and resolve specific customer challenges. Your contributions will directly support the Electrification Distribution Solutions division, with a particular emphasis on Northern Alberta and Saskatchewan.

This role offers the flexibility of a 100% remote work model. Location: Edmonton or Calgary, Alberta

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development: Formulate and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets within the assigned region, focusing on volume, mix, and profitability.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions that align with their business objectives.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience, fostering collaboration across divisions and countries.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities, competitive trends, and emerging risks (e.g., sustainability, digital transformation) that may impact the customer’s business.
  • Sales Presentations and Reporting: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to potential clients, while monitoring sales performance and providing regular reports to management.
  • Account Planning and Target Setting: Lead the development and implementation of account plans, defining and proposing sales targets to ensure achievement through structured follow-up processes.
  • Value Creation and Marketing: Create added value for both the customer and ABB by ensuring a coordinated sales approach, including frame agreements.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activities within the account and formulate appropriate response strategies, while providing insights on market price developments.
  • Process Optimization: Drive the application of standardized marketing and sales processes and tools (e.g., Salesforce) to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in account management.
  • Industry Engagement: Attend industry events and networking opportunities to promote ABB's Electrification solutions, expanding your professional network and enhancing brand visibility.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum Five Years Sales experience in the Electrical Industry.
  • Knowledge of the Electrification market and ABB products is an asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Willingness to travel within Ontario.
