Lead and coach a retail sales team to deliver excellent customer experiences, drive sales, and meet targets. Oversee store operations, health & safety, loss prevention, and administrative tasks as a keyholder. Train and develop associates, execute promotions, and support operational standards while fostering a customer-first, high-performance culture.

As a Sales Supervisor at Staples, you will lead a team to provide exceptional customer experiences, drive sales, and maintain operational excellence. Your passion for the business will shine through as you guide your team in assisting customers with solutions, products, and services, while also building lasting relationships for future business.
You perform essential leadership duties to ensure smooth operations and uphold store standards. As a keyholder, you act as a leader on duty, supporting programs and training throughout the store.
Specifically, you will
- Customer Engagement: Model and coach, our selling model within the store by engaging customers and motivating associates to do the same. Focus on high-performance, results, and a customer-first mindset.
- Sales Execution: Demonstrate a high degree of customer engagement and find ways to maximize sales while effectively assisting customers. Execute, communicate, and ensure understanding of flyer and promotional items.
- Team Leadership: Cultivate a selling culture with associates by learning, adopting, and teaching new trends, products, and services. Partner with store leaders to set and execute sales goals and targets.
- Operational Excellence: Support operational excellence and store brand standards for all areas of the store. Supervise aspects of health & safety, loss prevention, and policies and procedures.
- Training and Development: Dedicate time for self-development and enable others to do the same. Conduct training of associates within the store and inspire continuous learning and development.
- Administrative Duties: As a keyholder, ensure the safe opening and closing of the store, handle daily and weekly tasks associated with timekeeping and payroll, and maintain compliance with health & safety and asset protection standards.
Some of what you need
- 3+ years of retail sales experience required; direct experience in technology sales preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory role with direct accountability for achieving sales and service targets is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to inspire both our customers and associates.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with strong prioritization and multi-tasking skills.
