The Senior Advisor, Investor Relations will lead debt placement projects, develop investor relationships, and execute a strategic investor relations program. We’re in search of an experienced Senior Advisor, Investor Relations to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a range of debt placement mandates concurrently and assume responsibility for the day-to-day execution and delivery of service on projects.
- Raising debt to fund growth of the business within various industries from Trucking, Logistics, IT, Real Estate, Leasing, Financing, etc.
- Taking a leading role and being responsible for developing and maintaining investor & lender relationships.
- Leading the credit management and communication processes as required.
- Design and execute a strategic investor relations program that effectively communicates the company's value proposition and financial narrative.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key investors, analysts, and financial institutions.
- Lead the preparation and delivery of investor presentations.
- Develop and review complex financial and valuation models and financing structures.
- Lead and proactively manage business relationships with lenders, partners and investors, to build full scope of deal initiation activities.
- Coordinate internally with the finance team to ensure that reporting, covenants and all aspects of financing are in compliance.
- Working with senior management on strategic initiatives.
- Initiate cost savings strategies through various syndication and debt placement vehicles.
- Collaborate with the team to shape the company's financial messaging and disclosure strategy
- Monitor and analyze market perceptions, investor sentiment, and competitive positioning to inform strategic decision-making.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Corporate Finance, Investor Relations.
- CPA (CMA, CGA or CA) in progress (at senior level of program is preferred)
- Education: College diploma in Business or related discipline. A university degree in finance, commerce or business administration is preferred.
- Understanding of capital strategy and appropriate debt capital structures, including senior cash flow loans, asset backed loans, mezzanine and unitranche loans.
- Experience negotiating credit agreements and indentures.
- Strong investigative, analytical, and interpretative skills.
- Must be willing to travel within Canada & US.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel is mandatory (Pivot tables, V&H Lookup, simple Macros)
- Able to meet tight deadlines and work in fast-paced environment
- Able to work well independently and within team environment
- Strong business and financial acumen; able to link business requirements with financial objectives.
