As a Senior Buyer, you will oversee all aspects of procurement, from competitive bids to purchase order issuance. This role is vital to the success of our company as we execute a diverse portfolio of capital, maintenance, and enhancement projects. What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for the process of purchase requisitions for goods/services and ensures compliance with purchasing procedures and requisition requirements.

  • Issues and approves purchase orders per Enbridge Supply Chain Management, Legal and Delegation of Authorities (DOA) Policies.

  • Maintains records in accordance with established policies and procedures.

  • Acts as a liaison between project managers and/or consultants and suppliers and resolves any procurement-related issues.

  • Obtains optimized pricing and cost-efficient methods to assist with company-wide cost saving measures and departmental goals.

  • Investigates and facilitates issue resolution relative to procurement activities as requested.

  • Mentors, guides and/or trains other department staff or end user department personnel as required.

Who You Are:

  • A university degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or Economics with a minimum of 2 years of experience as a material/service buyer within Supply Chain, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, will be considered.

  • Enrollment in a SCM related professional certification, such as PMAC or ISM, is considered an asset.

  • Thrives and works well under pressure in fast paced environment due to a high volume of requests.

  • Great attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Great communication skills with a focus on partnering with internal customers to provide exceptional service.

  • Supply Chain Management Professional (SCPM)/Certified Professional in Supply Chain Management (CPSM) considered an asset but not required.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment; desk work using computers and software.

  • Less than 5% of travel is required for team events. Valid passport is required.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Mental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to:

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.

For US Only:
Salary: Ranges typically between $68,000 – $94,000 based upon experience and other market conditions.

Pension:

  • Regular full-time and part-time employees can participate in the plan immediately upon hire.

  • Cash Balance Pension plan, Enbridge makes the contributions (not vested until after 3 years).

  • The plan is fully paid for by Enbridge, with no employee contributions.

  • Pay credits are between 4% and 11% of eligible earnings, based on age and service
