As the Senior Manager, Finance Business Partnering, you will lead a team accountable for delivering strategic financial partnership, analysis, forecasting, planning, performance measurement and decision support services to senior business leaders, primarily at the executive level. This role bridges enterprise strategy and business execution by translating complex business challenges into actionable financial insights, recommendations and decision frameworks. As a Senior leader within the Financial Planning and Analysis function, you will play a critical part in advancing the future-state vision of Decision Support through modernization, automation, AI-enabled analytics, data-driven decision making, process integration and capability development. In this role, you will be expected to influence strategic decisions, challenge assumptions, empower business leaders, support enterprise priorities and develop future-ready talent while providing leadership across multiple business portfolios and initiatives.


How you will create impact: 
  • Leading strategic financial partnership activities with senior business leaders in supported business areas.
  • Translating enterprise and business strategies into financial implications, risk assessments, options and action plans.
  • Influencing leadership decisions through credible analysis, scenario evaluation and clear financial storytelling while creating recommendations that influence organizational outcomes and support executive decision-making.
  • Leading complex financial analysis, scenario modeling, business case development and strategic assessments.
  • Evaluating future-state opportunities, investments, operating model options, productivity initiatives and transformation activities.
  • Directing annual planning, forecasting and financial performance activities to supported business areas.
  • Championing common frameworks, tools, practices and methodologies that improve decision support consistency and scalability.
  • Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing team of Decision Support professionals to build up technical, analytical, modelling, storytelling and business partnering capabilities within the team.

To join our team:  
  • You have 6-9 years of experience in Analytics, Consulting, Strategic Finance, Financial Planning Analysis, within the Financial Services or Insurance industry, or a related industry.
  • You have a post secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Data Analytics or a related discipline.
  • Having a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation would be preferred however, having or working towards the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation or an Advanced Analytics, Data or AI-related certification would be considered an asset.
  • You have advanced skills in financial modelling, scenario planning and strategic analysis along with experience in benefits realization methodology and business case development.
  • You have experience communicating, presenting and financial storytelling to an Executive level audience with the ability to partner, influence, facilitate and constructively challenge assumptions.
  • You have proven experience in people leadership, coaching, leading through change and talent development.
  • You have proven experience in data analytics, visualization, automation, AI and modern decision support capabilities.
  • This position primarily works with majority non-francophone groups, and teams located outside of Québec, and requires proficiency in English. The essential non-French duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members.

Expected salary range $114,021 - $164,000+.

The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.

Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
