As a Senior Product Designer (6 Month Contract) is responsible for creating innovative and user-friendly experiences on our customer facing digital touchpoints. This role involves understanding user needs, conducting research, translating those insights into functional designs, and working with development teams to ensure they are delivered to market with pixel perfection. 

This is a contract opportunity facilitated by Randstad, Aviva’s partner for managing its temporary workforce.

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate with Senior Product Designers, Product Managers, Customer Experience and engineers to integrate feedback into the design and development process.

  • Facilitate design workshops and activities with a range or stakeholders in Aviva Canada

  • Advocate for the user perspective throughout the product development lifecycle.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in Product Design

  • Provide feedback to collaborators at multiple levels of the organization.

  • Create wireframes, mock-ups and high-fidelity prototypes.

  • Design digital experiences for both web and mobile customers

What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience in Product Design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.

  • Experience working with design systems

  • Experience conducting basic customer research

  • Understanding how to apply analytics and behavioural design in practice 

  • Great analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Great communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • A passion for creating user-centered products.

  • Knowledge of digital accessibility and its importance.
