Position Overview:
Echtra Games is searching for a Senior UI Engineer to join our growing team on a new premium cross platform ARPG project. Do you love building technology for game user interfaces? Are you passionate about building user experiences that players engage with? Have you built some excellent UI systems? If so, then come join us at Echtra Games! We are making a AAA Action-RPG targeting PC and consoles that we’re incredibly excited about, and we’re searching for a UI Engineer to help us craft UI features and systems.
Echtra Games is a medium sized and growing game studio in San Francisco with a team of veteran game developers and visionary newcomers who work both on-site and remotely. What You'll Do:
- Construct UI screens and their backing functionality that will delight the players.
- Collaborate with other engineers, designers, and artists to craft a great user experience.
- Understand UI designs and make them a reality.
- Add features to existing UI systems.
What You Bring:
- Experience developing projects using C++, C#, or a similar language.
- Experience creating UI for gameplay and shipping it to users.
- At home working in a large game engine such as Unreal Engine 5.
Bonus Points:
- Experience building RPG UI systems.
- Experience shipping on a major console like XBox or PlayStation.
- Love and passion for gaming.

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $98,400 and $145,620 per year.
However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
