Job Description
Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a Solution Consultant to work alongside our sales team and serve our customers in a consultative, pre-sales manner. You will be involved at various points of the sales cycle and be relied upon to demonstrate how our solutions will add value to a client's business, both from a technical and business perspective. Utilizing your industry experience, you will collaborate with the sales team to discover and document strategic and functional goals of a prospect/customer, prove alignment with company products, and exhibit how such changes will lower costs or increase production. You can live anywhere in the US, as you will work out of a home office and travel up to 25%.
What You'll Do

  • Develop and deliver product demonstrations which display the value of our Applied and/or EZLynx product solutions.
  • Coordinate virtual or site visits with prospects and clients.
  • Develop, present, and respond to proposals for specific customer requirements.
  • Perform appropriate hand-offs to supporting resources at the close of the sale.
  • Keep informed on industry news and trends, products, services, competitors, relevant information about legacy, existing and emerging technologies and the latest product-line developments.


What You'll Need to Succeed
We're looking for someone who:

  • Ability to work 100% remotely, or from an Applied Systems office in the United States.
  • Available for up to 25% travel nationwide.


Your experience should include some or all the following:

  • 5+ years of experience in an insurance agency/brokerage environment in a service, support, or management capacity
  • Strong presentation skills both in person and via virtual platforms/formats
  • Strong, professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong passion for driving business through a consultative method
  • Ability to develop a technical understanding of software architecture and capabilities
  • Customer-focused; ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
  • Organized and analytical
  • A valid driver's license and safe driving record is required
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in the areas of Insurance and/or technology

Additionally, you may have:

  • In-depth technical and business value knowledge of Applied Systems and competitive technologies preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of insurance industry (i.e., ability to discuss day-to-day retail insurance agency/brokerage operations by role or function) preferred
