Job Description

Purpose

The Staff Accountant will support the integrity and validity of financial data. This position will provide an opportunity to join a successful, rapidly-growing software company that has partnered with one of the world’s leading private equity investors. The Staff Accountant will have opportunities to develop skills in many different areas, including financial reporting, M&A integration, cash and expense management, and international operations.


Responsibilities


  • Contribute to the company’s month-end close process
  • Responsible for preparing and posting journal entries including, but not limited to bank/treasury activity, employee-related expense and credit card transactions
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations including monthly bank reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly P&L variance analysis
  • Prepare various monthly balance sheet variance analysis
  • Support the annual financial statement audit process, including statutory audits of foreign subsidiaries
  • Support the financial/accounting integration of acquired companies
  • Develop expertise in company’s accounting system (NetSuite) and other key systems
  • Identify and drive potential process improvements and efficiencies
  • Assist with other critical projects as needed

Qualifications

Employment Prerequisites

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent 
  • 1-2 years of experience in accounting roles; exceptional candidates with no prior experience will also be considered
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team spirit
  • Thoroughness and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills


Desired Competencies

  • Experience with Netsuite or similar ERP
  • General ledger and month-end close experience
  • Experience working with foreign currency
