Bolt is on a mission to democratize commerce. We relentlessly prioritize our retailers—putting their brands front and center while enabling frictionless shopping at any touchpoint in the customer journey. At the center of it all is our rapidly growing universal shopper network—Bolt merchants such as Deckers, Saks OFF 5TH, Revolve, and Casper can access tens of millions of shoppers, offering them a best-in-class checkout.

And revolutionizing ecommerce is only half of the equation—we’re also transforming the way we work. At Bolt, we have created a work environment where people learn to drive impact, take risks and make big bets, and grow from feedback, all while feeling welcomed and accepted for who they are. Come join us on the adventure today!

What you’ll do:

  • Work cross-functionally (design, product, engineering, support, GTM, and marketing) to solve problems for both shoppers and merchants

  • Elevate the role of design within the company
  • Partner with engineering to ship pixel-perfect designs
  • Provide systems thinking that solves design problems at scale

What will set you up for success:

  • 5+ years of experience designing digital products
  • Proficient with Figma and modern design frameworks — We are a design system oriented team and structure our design files as close to code as possible.
  • Proficient using the following Figma features/tools: Auto Layout 4.0, Component Variants, Interactive Components, Design Tokens, Component Libraries
  • Experience working with motion graphics and Lottie-like vector animations.
  • We are seeking a business minded product designer with strong fundamentals in both visual design and user experience
  • Strong sense of ownership and ability to work in vague problem spaces
  • Comfortable switching between high level vision thinking to hands-on pixel work
  • Experience working hand in hand with product managers and a proven track record of contributing to team strategy and planning
  • Excellent written and visual communications skills and the ability to create artifacts (documents, diagrams, hi-fi design specs, presentations, sketches) that clearly communicate design decisions.
  • Ability to digest and compile data in a meaningful way to inform and communicate design research and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals, including the web rendering layer. You should be able to comfortably communicate with engineers and speak their language, so that you can ensure designs are executed successfully.

Estimated cash compensation for this role is $180,000-200,000 USD, plus equity depending on experience.
