What you’ll do

Responsibilities may vary depending on the specific position assigned to but they may include:

External Reporting

  • Assist in the preparation of external and legal entity financial documents for regulatory bodies and other stakeholders.

  • Support data validation and accuracy in compliance with financial reporting standards.

  • Collaborate with internal reporting teams to ensure alignment of internal reports with external and legal entity disclosures.

Marketing Accounting

  • Record and analyze financial transactions related to refining and marketing operations.

  • Prepare variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance.

  • Support financial reporting processes, budgeting, and operational risk management.

Commercial & Business Development

  • Support analysis, reporting, and preparation of business cases related to transportation, logistics, and commercial opportunities.

  • Assist with organizing data, documents, and contracts across internal systems and tools.

  • Contribute to cross-functional projects involving market research, mapping, and business development support.

Who you are

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa).

  • Available to begin work in May 2026.

  • Ability to work well in a team environment.

  • Solid analytical and Microsoft Suite skills, specifically Excel.

  • Excellent interpersonal, judgement, and decision-making skills.

We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.

Education

  • Must be enrolled in a Business Undergraduate Program (Finance, Commerce, Economics, Accounting areas preferred) at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term.

  • Candidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered.

  • New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.
