OVERVIEW:
The Team Manager, Group Client Reporting will lead team members and manage processes to ensure effective and timely delivery of reports to support the needs of group benefits plan administrators, brokers, and vendor partners.
The key responsibility of this role is to ensure the delivery of exceptional quality and sustainable reporting to our customers. As the successful candidate, you will define and establish reporting standards while applying your knowledge of reporting concepts and best practices to guide outcomes for the team and their customers.
With the guidance of the Manager, Group Client Reporting & Initiatives, the Team Manager will keep the team’s tooling, methodology, and data sources in alignment with the organization’s broader reporting and analytics practices. You must serve as a strong role model, living our corporate values and promoting positive and highly productive work environments.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Create and maintain team workflows to support consistent high-quality service delivery, while enabling leadership to easily monitor and respond to workflow trends and issues.
- Ensure the team adheres to standards of quality, privacy, branding, tooling, methodology, pricing, invoicing, and turnaround times.
- Prioritize and maintain work request tickets.
- Analyze and respond to evolving customer expectations.
- Analyze data sourcing issues and recommend solutions.
- Use your expertise to help guide team members through troubleshooting.
- Contribute to projects and other initiatives related to your team’s work.
- Respond to complex customer needs.
- Committed to providing effective and meaningful feedback to team members to support professional growth.

- Build and maintain effective work relationships both internally and externally.
WHAT YOU WILL HAVE:
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Data Science, Business Intelligence, or another related field; or comprehensive certifications in those fields.
- Minimum of three years working in a role related to reporting, analytics, and business intelligence is required.
- Expertise with SQL language is required. Familiarity with Oracle SQL Developer is a strongly preferred asset.
- Expertise with common data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is required.
- Expertise with data analysis and visualization in Microsoft Excel is required.
- Basic knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS) and concepts is required.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Access and MicroStrategy would be considered an asset.
- Familiarity with creating and contributing to Modern SharePoint sites would be considered an asset.
- Previous concrete experience with understanding and troubleshooting end-to-end dataflows in an enterprise organization is a strongly preferred asset.
- Must be able to work under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
