Position: Test Automation Designer Coop/Intern

Number of Position(s): 1

Duration: 4 Months - Winter Term (Jan 4th - Apr 30th, 2027 )

Location: Hybrid in Ottawa

Responsibilities

As a part of our team, you will:

  • Development of scripts or applications (XML, REST, JavaScript, Perl) to simulate various management activities and network scenarios
  • Development and execution of test plans to validate functional aspects of the product.
  •  Investigation of product defects encountered during test scenarios.
  •  Execution of tests and maintenance of regression and performance test beds, including publishing results and developing additional functionality


Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS 
Currently a candidate for a Master's, Bachelor's degree, or Diploma in Engineering/Computer Science, or a related field with an accredited school in Canada. 

Qualifications:

  • Strong programming (Java, Perl, XML, JS) and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment
  • Knowledge of software and/or testing methodologies

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Experience using development tools like Git, IDEs, Jira, and Teams
  • Networking and telecommunications knowledge
  • Linux operating environment, Windows, Virtual Machines
