The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for planning and executing manual and automated testing for Health IT applications and healthcare interoperability solutions. This role develops and executes comprehensive testing approaches to validate application functionality, system integrations, healthcare data exchange, interoperability, and overall system quality and reliability.
The position requires strong software quality assurance and test automation experience, along with knowledge of healthcare interoperability and Health IT standards. The QA Engineer works collaboratively with developers, business analysts, project managers, and other technical and functional stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.

ESSENTIAL REQUIRMENTS
- Experience with version control tools such as Git and SVN.
- Experience with Agile Scrum framework and test automation in CI/CD.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with test automation tools like HP UFT, Selenium, JMeter is a must.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare interoperability and standards including HL7, C‑CDA, FHIR, and IHE.
- Proficient with test management platforms such as ADO, HP ALM, and Jira.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and extensive experience across the SDLC and Agile environments.
- Professional certifications in software quality assurance, testing, information technology, or a related discipline preferred.
- Quality assurance or software testing certifications such as ISTQB CTFL, CTAL, CSQE-ASQ, CAT, or equivalent preferred.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Tests Health Information Exchange (HIE), patient-facing healthcare applications, clinical data repositories, or other healthcare interoperability solutions.
Integrates automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
Tests cloud-hosted applications, including Microsoft Azure environments.
Knowledge of USCDI and applicable ONC Health IT interoperability requirements.
Knowledge of accessibility and Section 508 testing standards.
Knowledge of security, privacy, and compliance requirements applicable to healthcare and federal information systems.
Supports federal government or federal healthcare IT programs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university in a related technical field with a minimum of two (2) years relevant experience.

The estimated pay range for this role is $85,000 to $90,000, with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
