Job Description and Responsibilities
Are you a skilled Millwright looking for an exciting opportunity to make an impact in a dynamic and innovative environment? Join the team at Interpro in Camrose, Alberta, where your expertise in repairing, troubleshooting, and installing machinery will play a critical role in our operations.
We’re seeking a full-time Millwright who thrives on problem-solving, can interpret blueprints and schematics with precision, and takes pride in maintaining and repairing essential equipment. If you’re detail-oriented, experienced in maintenance management systems, and ready to contribute to a supportive, safety-first workplace, we’d love to hear from you!
Receive instructions covering the scheduled and emergency repair, installation, and inspection work to be done
Inspects mill equipment for defects, such as misalignment, wear, insufficient lubrication
Determines the best way of making repairs to minimize interruption of production
Advises when immediate shutdown of equipment is necessary to minimize damage or when temporarily continued operation will have no harmful effect
Dismantles, cleans, repairs, replaces, installs, maintains, assembles and lubricates mechanical equipment
Adjusts equipment for proper operating characteristics
Makes either temporary or permanent repairs
Assembles and aligns gears, bearings, and shafts, involving the application of press, sliding, and running fits
Works with repair crew as directed on emergency breakdowns
Requirements
Must possess a Red Seal Journeyman Certificate or Alberta Journeyman Certificate
Previous work experience in an industrial manufacturing setting is an asset
Must be able to work rotating shifts (days & nights)
Must successfully pass the pre-employment screening process
