About this opportunity:

The Stewardship Reporting Team has an opportunity for a highly motivated and dynamic individual to fill the role of Senior, Financial Analyst. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Stewardship Reporting, this role is responsible for consolidated financial reporting including the Balance Sheet, Statement of Earnings and Segment reporting.

The successful candidate will be a team player who strives for excellence in reporting accuracy and demonstrates strong leadership skills while working within a team environment. This position will appeal to individuals who are highly motivated and enjoy a dynamic and fast paced environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Support SAP users in the monthly close process

  • Compile the monthly balance sheet, statement of earnings and segment information

  • Assist in monthly flash updates and validation

  • Partner with the upstream, downstream, and commercial accounting teams to deliver consolidated monthly performance management reporting to senior leaders

  • Participate in the preparation of Board memos and Audit Committee updates

  • Assist in complying the consolidated statement of cash flows and consolidated financial reporting package

  • Review and tie out of team deliverables

  • Implement process improvements, including opportunities for automation

  • Ensure compliance with SOX control documentation

  • Other reporting duties and projects, as required

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

  • University degree combined with a professional accounting designation (CPA preferred)

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience

  • Excellent knowledge of IFRS reporting standards

  • Strong knowledge of oil and gas operations and reporting

  • Strong computer skills including SAP Group Reporting

  • Ability to build relationships across functions and with all levels of the organization
