The Sr Analyst Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) reports to the Supervisor, FP&A and plays a key role in developing complex financial models to support project economics, capital investments, tolling strategies, and strategic decision making across Liquid Pipeline Business.
Part of the role will be conducting financial and economic analysis, providing insights and recommendations to Liquids Pipeline, Business Development, and Senior Management, with guidance from the Supervisor and other Advisors.

What You Will Do:

Develop and refine complex financial models for business development initiatives, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and flexibility with minimal oversight.

Support in forecasting, budgeting, regulatory filings, and other financial analyses, aligning with business objectives.

Investigate, document, and analyze complex financial and economic issues to aid decision-making.

Assist in commercial agreements and evaluate deals, tolling strategies, and key interdependencies.

Integrate tax, financing, accounting, and legal considerations into financial models.

Review stakeholder input, ensuring realistic assumptions and identifying potential risks with mitigation strategies.

Maintain standardized valuation methodologies for inter-project comparisons.

Present financial insights, collaborate across teams and support management decision making.

Align projects with corporate strategy and assist in Board presentations.

Provide commercial and regulatory support, including toll filing and forecasts.

Projects range from $1 million to several billion, focusing on complexity over size.

Engage throughout the project lifecycle, from scoping to completion.
Who You Are:Required:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
-
2+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or related roles, preferably in the oil and gas industry.

MBA, CFA, CPA, CA, or CMA are strongly desirable.

Advanced Excel modelling skills, with expertise in financial analysis and scenario planning.

Strong understanding of accounting, tax, financing, and legal considerations.

Familiarity with crude oil transportation, tolling methodologies, and regulatory frameworks is an asset.

Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to simplify and explain sophisticated financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving, collaboration and time management skills.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Office environment with occasional tight deadlines and high levels of responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of work performed.

Sr. Analysts are expected to help managing a portfolio of concurrent projects.

Some travel is required.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
