Lead U.S. federal growth across defense and civilian agencies by managing business development, capture, government affairs, strategic partnerships, proposals, and customer engagement. Develop pathways from mission needs to funded contracts, coordinate stakeholders and partners, assess pipeline health, and support program execution. Own mechanical hardware designs from concept and CAD through prototyping, validation, production, and field deployment. Design reliable hardware for harsh marine environments while balancing performance, manufacturability, cost, and schedule. Build, test, debug, and improve prototypes and production hardware; lead design reviews; collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams; and work with suppliers, machine shops, vendors, and contract manufacturers to scale components and assemblies.

Identify, engage, and build pipelines of technical and industry-specialist talent for maritime and climate tech. Partner with People Team and hiring managers to understand hiring needs, use Boolean search, ATS (Ashby), and creative channels beyond LinkedIn to meet metrics-driven sourcing goals. Own sourcing strategy and candidate pipeline in a fast-paced, mission-driven startup (hybrid work).

Design, implement, and maintain FreeRTOS-based embedded firmware in C/C++ with automated unit and integration tests; build Bristlemouth integrations; create host-side test and automation tools in Python; collaborate with electrical/mechanical engineers on system integration, testing and deployments; drive releases, documentation, and technical leadership for firmware teams.
