Own GitLab’s competitive positioning for AI and agentic software development. Analyze competitors and market signals, shape product roadmap recommendations, develop sales and executive enablement assets, lead displacement campaigns, and brief analysts, investors, and executives. Establish thought leadership, define competitive narratives, measure win-rate impact, and elevate competitive marketing practices across the team.

Owns database reliability, capacity, availability, sustainability, infrastructure costs, and platform standardization. Manages three Engineering Managers, develops technical leaders, oversees hiring and organization design, establishes objectives and KPIs, manages budgets, partners cross-functionally on platform investments, and serves as an escalation point for database incidents and operational processes.

Leads and mentors a team of Technical Program Managers within GitLab Engineering’s centralized PMO. Responsibilities include staffing and resource alignment, establishing program management standards, developing the PMO strategy, partnering with Engineering, Product, Security, and GTM stakeholders, mitigating risks, tracking KPIs, and improving organizational planning and delivery processes.

Leads technical direction for GitLab’s Core DevOps services, covering CI, CD, planning, and source control. Defines architecture, quality metrics, migration strategies, and technical roadmaps; addresses systemic risk and complex design decisions; prototypes and writes code when needed; partners with Infrastructure, Security, SRE, and Product; adopts AI capabilities; mentors senior engineers; supports incident response and senior technical hiring.

Lead hands-on product security architecture across GitLab, including design reviews, threat modeling, systemic risk remediation, security standards, prototypes, and reusable developer guardrails. Partner with engineering and product leaders, secure distributed systems and software supply chains, guide AI coding tool security, mentor security engineers, and influence technical direction through proactive architecture and clear communication.

Triage bug bounty and vulnerability management reports, validate findings, assess severity, identify duplicates, and coordinate remediation through closure. Collaborate with PSIRT, engineering, legal, communications, customer success, and security teams. Support CVE assignments as a CNA representative, communicate with researchers and customers, maintain accurate records, monitor operational metrics, and improve vulnerability-handling procedures, runbooks, and documentation.
