Engage developers, customers, sales teams, and online communities through webinars, events, forums, Discord, and social platforms. Answer technical questions, deliver analyst briefings, research the developer tools landscape, test new features, and provide product feedback. The role is remote, supports U.S. and Canadian time zones, and requires up to 20% travel.

Leads Professional Services operations by building scalable planning, forecasting, capacity, resource management, delivery, financial, and reporting processes. Lead architecture and transformation across resilience, failover, tenant orchestration, change management, automation, and platform integrations. Identify systemic reliability and scalability risks, establish reusable platform patterns, strengthen service ownership, and guide cross-team technical decisions. Mentor senior engineers and advance engineering excellence across the organization.

Owns execution and outcomes for the Chief Customer Officer’s strategic portfolio, including go-to-market transformation, retention and renewal programs, product feedback loops, and executive account engagement. Converts executive direction into structured workstreams, coordinates senior cross-functional stakeholders, monitors program health and business metrics, escalates risks, drives accountability, and recommends scope or prioritization changes. The role also establishes operating standards for a growing programs function in a globally distributed environment.

Leads cross-team backend initiatives and technical architecture for GitLab’s Core DevOps platform. Responsibilities include modernizing a monolith, establishing service, API, data, security, testing, and observability standards, guiding Go and Kubernetes practices, supporting Rust adoption, participating in incident response, mentoring engineers, reducing technical debt, and advancing AI-assisted engineering workflows.

Build and maintain Linux distribution packages, container images, CI tooling, and release infrastructure for GitLab. Enable development teams to integrate components through self-service tooling and documentation. Manage cloud marketplace integrations, installation and upgrade processes, dependency security, license compliance, and partner validation. Collaborate with development and security teams while reviewing external dependency and security updates.

Design, build, operate, and scale GitLab Orbit backend services in Rust across distributed cloud-native environments. Improve Kubernetes deployments, infrastructure automation, observability, reliability, incident readiness, multi-tenant isolation, data workflows, graph query capabilities, indexing pipelines, cloud storage integrations, and API/MCP surfaces. Own technical designs through rollout while collaborating asynchronously with infrastructure, security, AI, data, delivery, and SRE teams.

Leads secure enterprise architecture design and GitLab Professional Services implementations across application security, cloud security, DevSecOps, identity, vulnerability management, and compliance. Guides SaaS, Self-Managed, and Dedicated deployment decisions; leads CI/CD, source control, and security-tool migrations; conducts risk assessments and threat modeling; supports pre-sales scoping and statements of work; coordinates cross-functional delivery; mentors consultants; and develops security enablement materials.

Lead GitLab’s company-wide strategy for autonomous, agentic software development workflows. Identify and validate AI opportunities across the SDLC, build prototypes and reference architectures, establish evaluation frameworks and safety controls, and drive internal adoption. Partner across Engineering, Product, Infrastructure, Security, Architecture, and Data and ML teams to scale reliable, observable, compliant agentic capabilities into customer-facing products. Mentor senior technical leaders and represent GitLab externally on AI-assisted development and productivity measurement.
